Trip To Wild Wild Wet

One and a half fortnights(3 weeks) ago, my father took me to Wild Wild Wet located at Pasir Ris, Downtown East. The price for the entrance ticket was expensive! $10.50 for children, $15-16.50 for adults. Including the locker card($2) and parking ($4-6.50) at the E-hub car-park, the total amount added up to $30-38!

After purchasing the tickets for the both of us, we went to stuff our belongings inside a locker. Had some difficulty trying to do so. I was amazed by what stations there were.

I went to try Waterworks. There was a extremely long 'Q'. I tried a hollow tunnel first. It was so dark and long, my hair stood on end. Oh, where were some mini-lights when you need them? When I was midway in the tunnel, I mumbled and thought to myself all throughout the ride: '' When will this ever end?''

After a short moment, I could finally see some lights at the outlet of the tunnel, the splash pool. Without any hesitation, when I reached the end, I landed into the splash pool with a thud.

As it was too late to do anything, even putting on the goggles that initially hung from my neck, I seemed own help to prevent any risks or injuries by quickly shutting my eyes tightly and taking a quick grasp of air as I landed into the splash pool that was deeper than my height. As fast as a rabbit, I landed without delay.

"Help me! Help me! '' I shrieked when my struggling made it to the surface. I spluttered when I tried keeping afloat. Lucky that my father had slid down first.

When my father asked me if I wanted to try again, I declined immediately after he finished his speech. I enjoyed the 'Current Lake' and 'Uglar-Uglar', which means snake in Basahar Melayu(Malay). It was thrilling. I guess that's why they call it a thrill ride.

When I sat on the raft that was inflated with air, I got a kind of feeling that I've went on a ramp and went slightly airborne at some sections when I went on the ride. I enjoyed that thrill ride the most ever, though it was a bit little kind of crazy.

I enjoyed the 'Current Lake' a lot, too. In that, there were several parts that had 'pumps'. The pushing force was very tremendous, it moved me forward, that's right, like a current.

I liked to wear the life jacket that would keep me afloat. I would then lie down on my back and enjoy. Even without it, I could still cope, for the depth was only 1m. In the water, I spotted some particles such as rubber/ hair bands and also one Funky! card that was for using water. To my astonishment, I even found a cover of a watch.

Time passed quickly. We headed backed to land and in to the Men's changing room. That's when we noticed that the towel was lost. My father said, " I remembered that when we came, I hung the towel over the bar. You know, I wanted to put it on the top of the bag, so that it would be easier to get it. Ay-yah, then I forgot to put back." We had no choice, but to dry ourselves by standing under the fan and jump up and down to get rid of all the water molecules.

Sars Song

When I heard : ''Wash your hands, whenever you can, wash with soap, then at least got hope. When you get home, take a bath quickly kiasu a bit, be safe, not sar-ry!'' I just thought it was a poetic song made up from the Sars virus. I doubted it was real.

In the end, curiosity still got hold of me. So, I logged on to the Internet to find out more about that.

Sars song...... I typed. After a short finding, I found the song. It was real. I saw Phua Chu Kang. He was the main character in the video.

Here's the video:

There were a lot of funny parts, too. Some were not even written in proper language!

Where Is My Char Siew Pao Leh?

I woke up one Wednesday morning, (that's on 03/06/09), feeling depressed that my mother was not around in sight. Did I mention that I will die without seeing my mother?

I began calling out to her, " Mommy! Where are you? " It turned out that she was ironing the clothes in the living room. Lied down for a while more before going to wash up and take a shower. Was a steaming hot one that could had me cooked.

I turned the rotatable water thermostat from 'Med' to 'Low' to adjust the temperature as it was too burning for me to withstand it. I wasn't going to let the water turn me into cooked food, food that is ready for carnivores to munch on.

Next stop, Mother's Turn To Bathe... Wahaha... Wahaha... Not at the Mass Rapid Train(MRT) station, but it's my mum's turn to bathe. Not my everyday routine. But my mother's everyday routine. She bathes every morning before work.

Even if she has no work! We've to go shopping, today. I've got 0 percent of interest in shopping...... but I still gotta tag along. Wish there's no magnetism in the world...

But anyway, I still have to do so... No shorts to wear during celebrations. And that is really true. Compulsory to say no. Soon we were ready to set off. I groaned. Hate shopping.

I just simply wore my sport shoes, closed the door and galloped down the six flights of stairs. Then went down to the market to have my 'Half-Breakfast-Half Lunch'.

Want to know why I call it like that? It was already 11 plus, almost noon. I met my grandmother and three of her friends there. I ate a bowl of bee hoon and a char siew bun. I asked, "Where is my char siew bun leh?'', feeling rather confused.

It was such a silly question to ask, the six of us at the table began roaring with laughter. It was soooo embrassing, I even put my right hand on my forehead, still laughing.

I was too engrossed in other things, so that was why I didn't notice that I've finished my bun and totally forgotten about that. What a embrassing incident it was!

My Very First Own Pet

One day, my uncle told me about keeping Robrovski hamsters as pets. I always wanted a dog as a pet, if allowed to. But he said keeping hamsters were less troublesome than keeping dogs as pets.

And less amount of capacity would be taken up. But we could use an empty area that is not used for some time to place the cage.

However, in the end, I decided, to adopt Robrovski hamsters instead. Meanwhile, I logged on to the computer to surf for information to take care of the hamsters on the Internet. My uncle also said that his friend, Yoong Kheong, also a hamster expert would be meeting us at Simei, East-point.

My uncle said he had lots of hamster cages in his house, too. When we arrived at Simei, with my uncle and mother, we met the 'hamster expert' around the entrance/exit of East-point. We went to Pet Lovers' Centre.

At Pet Lovers' Centre, the 'hamster expert', Yoong Kheong, asked me which Robrovski hamsters I wanted, one male and female to keep as a pet. I had a long time deciding. The chosen ones were put in a cage first.

We then went on to select the food, bedding, cage and all the other necessary, needed items and accessories, etc. We took quite a long time to choose the materials. We saw many, many other cages.

At the shop, one of the employees showed us how to fix the cage. I saw many cages that had tunnels extended where the hamsters would climb from one part of the cage to the other part or so.

Soon, it was time to leave Pet Lovers' Centre, after we paid, of course. We headed for home in a taxi. Took us a short while to reach Bedok Reservoir. At the void deck of Blk 615, we fixed the cage.

I peeped into the temporary cardboard box the Robrovski hamsters. Besides the hamsters, I also saw small parts wet(pee) and tiny scraps of shit. My uncle said that he would go to the 'hamster expert's' house to collect one of the acessories for the hamsters.

Trip To Science Centre

One morning, Mrs A. Nathan, our form teacher had some forms to give out to the class. It turned out that the form was meant for a RE trip to the Science Centre for all P3 students. It was scheduled on Tuesday, 19/05/09. I had went to that place before, when I was in Primary Two, that's right, last year. I guess it must have been renovated.

Perhaps that is the truth. When the teacher had gave out all the forms, she said," You see that it is stated that we depart from TKPS at 8.15 sharp. But that doesn't mean you students report to school at 8.15am. We have to take the attendance, go to the loo and ...... if you come at 8.15, you can kiss the trip a good-bye," she warned us.

Time seems to pass extremely fast. Soon it was time to set off to the Science Centre. It was located at around Jurong Town Hall Road. We went by the school bus.

The ride was very long, boring and that caused me to be 'bus-sick' . It would be even worse for me if I was in a taxi.... Maybe I will go by plane...... even worse. It would be less than thirty seconds before I scampered of the plane...Hahaha............

After two right-turns at Jurong Town Hall Road's junction, we reached the Science Centre. What greeted me at the first sight when I scampered of the bus was a 'enormouse', ferocious but fake display of a dinosaur, the biggest dino... the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Well haha, that didn't scare me, it's just a display. Guess that what I wrote in Paragraph 1 did make up some sense. The last time I came here, this display wasn't here.

At 10.30 am, we went to the Omni- Theatre, where plays were viewed it 3d graphics. I felt very giddy. Soon it was lunch break. I took out a sandwich and began munching on it. Our teacher said that we could go to the Waterworks after we ate if only we got an extra set of clothing.

However, some did not even bother to obey and got themselves drenched in water head to toe, although they did not have extra sets of clothes.

How mischevious! They even had excuses that there was a dryer to dry their soaked clothes.
